Her voice was strong, clear, and beautiful, unlike few other sopranos in the world. Sarah Brightman has one of the best voices in the world. I may not buy anymore of her albums. I have everyone of her albums, and the past several including this one are nothing but airy, light pop songs that seem to reflect her idea that she is a fairy goddess in a make believe land. Unfortunately she chooses to sing songs that do not showcase her voice. Her earlier albums certainly proved her ability to sing like few others.
If you're not yet a fan, you will be. Her range is phenomenal and she shines with all the wonderful male voices when she's singing the duets.I listen to this over and over and can't get enough.Buy this. This is a fabulous release of solos and duets that will grow on you the more you listen to it. I'm transported by this voice and I would rank Sarah Brightman as my most favorite female vocalist.
The Cathedral is so beautiful and romantic and Brightman is so lovely. I can't wait for the DVD of this title.
Give it a listen and you will be hooked. The album is very dramatic in style and consequence. Her voice continues to amaze me. The selections for this cd are excellent and there are some very nice duets included.
Some of the tracks have a rougher edge to them than her previous album releases, and wow, does she EVER hit some high notes here.something like 3 octaves above middle C or close to it. The title track is one of the highlights here.it is beautiful. Sarah does indeed mean business on this CD, and this release should please her many legions of fans. Sarah Brightman's first studio release in five years features, as usual, a mix between classical and pop. She performs four duets on this album (the biggest shocker is teaming up with Paul Stanley from the supergroup Kiss), and musical styles ranging from the gothical "Fleurs Du Mal" to the Abba sound-alike of "Running".
